April 1 – April 7 Crime Blotter: Daytime Robbery Just Off Campus

This week, vehicle thefts and break-ins continued. A robbery occurred just off campus at Monroe Street and 7th Street, NE, on April 4. The victim, a CUA student, was robbed by three suspects who threatened to shoot the victim, according to a police report. No weapons were seen, according to a CUA Office of Emergency Management email notification. The suspects were described as three Black males who fled towards the Brookland-CUA Metro station.

- Motor Vehicle Theft: 100 bl. Michigan Ave., NE (7:22 p.m.)
April 3
- Theft: 3500 bl. 12th St., NE (2:38 a.m.)
- Motor Vehicle Theft: 1000 bl. Kearny St., NE (2:15 a.m.)
- Destruction of Property: 12th St., NE and Otis St., NE. 54-year-old Eric Thomas was arrested and charged with Destruction of Property (2:55 a.m.)
April 4
- Robbery: 700 bl. Monroe St., NE. Three suspects robbed a CUA student; see above.
- Theft From Auto: 100 bl. Michigan Ave., NE.
April 5
- Assault: 3200 bl. 8th St., NE. 20-year-old Kahaleel White was arrested and charged with Simple Assault.
