Welcome to this week’s crime blotter. As the university Department of Public Safety noted in a November 11 email to the campus community, a rash of car break-ins dominates this period’s report, with six reports of thefts from auto and another report of a stolen vehicle according to D.C. Police statistics.

Assault: Brookland-CUA Metro Station (9:04 a.m.)

November 6

Theft: 700 bl. Monroe St., NE (7:45 a.m.)
Assault: 400 bl. Taylor St., NE. 41-year old Alan Vrkijo Bedoya was arrested and charged with Simple Assault.
Sexual Abuse: 600 bl. Michigan Ave., NE
Arrest: 5000 bl. 8th St., NE. 56-year old Stephanie Edwards was arrested and charged with Contempt of Court in reference to a protective order violation.

Motor Vehicle Theft: 4500 bl. Fort Totten Dr., NE (8:20 a.m.)
Theft From Auto: 4400 bl. Clermont Dr., NE (12:00 p.m.)
Assault: 120 bl. Tausig Pl., NE. 67-year old Alforis Lawrence was arrested and charged with Simple Assault.
