Opening the Folger Theatre’s fall season is Kate Hamill’s adaptation of Sense and Sensibility.

The Folger Theatre website summarizes the play beautifully in its overview, “Reason and passion collide in Jane Austen’s beloved tale of sisterhood and romance.  When sudden financial straits force the Dashwood family to move to a distant cottage, sisters Elinor and Marianne become ensnared in heart-wrenching romances.”

Directed by Erin Tucker and starring Maggie McDowell and Erin Weaver as Elinor and Marianne Dashwood, the show boasts an immensely talented cast and should be a must-see for all classic theatre and Jane Austen lovers.  The show runs from September 13th-October 30th 2016.  On Friday September 23rd $15 tickets will be available for any college students with a valid ID.  More information on special performance nights and exclusive ticket deals can be found on the Folger Theatre’s website at www.folger.edu/events/sense-and-sensibility.

Don’t miss this amazing opportunity to see the Folger Theatre’s season opening production of Sense and Sensibility.  Also, be sure to check back at The Tower next week for a detailed review of the show!
