As Halloween is approaching, Program Board is gearing up with several seasonal events.

The Halloween events seem to be a hit among many and are getting everyone excited for upcoming holiday.

On Monday, October 26th, Program Board hosted their annual Fright Night, complete with a haunted house, photo booth, apple cider and pumpkin carving. The haunted house was filled with live actors, creepy props, and a man with a chainsaw.

Program Board also had pumpkins to carve outside of the haunted house which were very popular. The event gathered over three hundred people, which Program Board describes as a success.

“I think it was actually pretty scary, the Program Board did a really good job with it this year,” said sophomore Thomas Doyle. “Everyone had a great time going through it and the jack-o-lantern carving was a blast.”

The haunted house seemed to be enjoyed by all, and the clowns in front of the Edward J. Pryzbyla Center definitely gave everyone a good scare.

Tuesday event, “How to Get Away With Murder,” was a murder mystery dinner hosted in the Great Room of the Edward J. Pryzbyla Center. Students could go into the Great Room where dinner was served, and enjoy the show.

“We have actors coming in from a company,” said Sophomore Program Board member Kianna Chevalier. “You can go in, get dinner, and guess who committed the murder. It’s a couple hours long, and it should be a lot of fun!”

“It was really cool to see actors create a show using the audience,” said Sophomore Kelly Bourbon. “It’s always hard to tell where that would lead; you never know when you have a risk like that. But it was so cool!”

It seems that Program Board put together some successfully spooky events this week. Between Fright Night and How to Get Away With Murder, Program Board is definitely doing a good job of getting everyone in the mood for Halloween.
